The Vision (Seeing into the prophetic part 2) 11/15/14
“Some people change because of vision: Most change because of pain.”-KYLO
Vision gives us both direction and drive to achieve our calling. It’s the very vehicle and catalyst God uses to change things
2 Chronicles 26:5
He sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God; and as long as he sought the Lord, God made him prosper.
Vision creates a Kingdom Wealth Mentality for our future, our community, the things we are responsible for, and for our time energy and resources.
By Being kingdom people we become salt (preservers) and light(illuminators)
Many of us spend our entire life operating outside of the calling and purposes intended for us. This could be done as easily as a subconscious response to making changes to achieve goals or/and fear of what God has for us.
We must first see how God sees us to understand the purpose of our individual design. We need vision. We need to see into the prophetic. The primary purpose of prophetic ministry and Christians as a whole is to draw out the gold of people’s lives.
We hold the keys to the hearts of a royal priesthood.
Luke 15 (the story of the prodigal son)
The father represents God who freely gives his sons to join the family business or do something else. Despite the prodigals shortcomings he restores him. The father gives the robe(identity) the ring (authority) the sandal (purity)
Here we see a God who isn’t mad but seeks to restore identity and authority.
We see a invitation to our identity and calling.
Though the story is a reminder of not only God’s attitude towards us but our attitude to each other. The church needs fathers not older brothers
Elder brothers compete with the people they are suppose to be leading, Fathers seek to restore the people they serve. They see people as treasures that belong to God. And God gave everything so he can buy that treasure.
Matthew 13:44-52
44“The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.45“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. 46When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.
47“Once again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was let down into the lake and caught all kinds of fish. 48 When it was full, the fishermen pulled it up on the shore. Then they sat down and collected the good fish in baskets, but threw the bad away. 49This is how it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come and separate the wicked from the righteous 50and throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
51“Have you understood all these things?” Jesus asked.“Yes,” they replied.52He said to them, “Therefore every teacher of the law who has become a disciple in the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old.”
You are a treasure! We need draw out the destiny of people. This is the vision. This is the primary purpose of the church.
